Fundraising
Edale Mountain Rescue Team needs to raise funds to survive. Street collecting and country shows remain a major part of our fundraising, and with an average of 100 incidents throughout our part of the Derbyshire Peak District each year, the demands on team members were greater than ever.
With this in mind we looked for ways to raise team funds without placing more pressure on team members and their time. The raffle in 2008 returned a better result than we could have hoped - a big thank you to all who donated the prizes, and those who sold tickets.

Our latest ventures are recycling mobile phones and a web shop. We are collecting old mobile phones and printer cartridges to recycle for money, click here to learn more.
Our buy.at web shop can be viewed at www.buy.at/edalemountainrescue. Major Internet companies (such as Amazon) have affiliated to the site, and by linking through our web shop the team receive a % of any sale. Two new ways with which we can raise desperately needed funds while still responding to the ever increasing number of callouts.
If you wish to make a donation to the team and are a UK tax payer, you can fill in the Gift Aid form. Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, Edale Mountain Rescue Team will receive an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue at no extra cost to yourself. As for the future, it's difficult to see how team members could work any harder at raising funds, so we need to work smarter.
